Cartoon d’Or nomination for The Tale of little Puppetboy

The Tale of little Puppetboy is nominated for the Cartoon d’Or 2010, the award for the best European animated short film. The jury has selected the finalists among 29 short films that received an award at one of the Cartoon d’Or partner festivals. The winner will be announced on Friday 17th September 2010 in Sopron (Hungary). The award is a trophy together with a financial aid of 10,000 EUR, supported by the MEDIA Programme of the European Union.

The Tale of little Puppetboy awarded at Animafest

The Tale of little Puppetboy received the Special Award at the distinguished animation festival Animafest in Zagreb. Link to the announcement. The Grand Competiton jury consisted of Nigel Davies, Ron Diamond, Marko Meštrović, Flore Poinsard and Joana Toste.

Puppetboy wins again

At the Holland Animation Film Festival “The Tale of little Puppetboy” got two Awards, The Grand Prix for Narrative Shorts and the young jury’s MovieSquad Award. The HAFF anouncement.
It also got the Special Jury Award at Anilogue in Budapest and award for Best Screenplay at Animaanima in Serbia (together with Bill Plymptons “Santa: The Fascist Years”) plus the award for Most Technichally Innovative Film at FreeNetWorld, also in Serbia .

Puppetboy got two prizes at the short film festival in Tampere, Finland. The Main Jury Prize in the experimental LAB10 section went to “The Tale of Little Puppetboy” and the audience award went to “Puppetboy”. Link to the festivals announcement.
